PSYCHOLOGICAL & Smocking/Addiction PROBLEMS CAN Be Treated with the Help of Subconscious

Most of us are often imprisoned by the chains of our thoughts and we allow ourselves to think into problems associated with the past. If we study the Behavioral Science, we will come to know that most of the Psychological problems and diseases which come in our life are due to fears, phobias, and memories in our past life. Similarly urge for the smocking and addiction is originated from subconscious.

Your unconscious mind is the part of your mind that controls your body functions, from your heartbeat to your breathing. It is here that all your memories, habits are stored and where your wisdom, creativity, and problem-solving capabilities reside. Whenever we feel some requirement, let’s say even it may be time for taking food, this urge is from inside the subconscious mind. What are the causes of aggression and violence in some body’s attitude? How do we remember things? What causes us to forget something? And how memories can be improved? What are the effects of stressful environments on health and social interaction? How do early childhood experiences especially when we liked something in our immature age, effect later in life? What are the best ways to treat depression, anxiety, smocking & addiction? How can we reduce prejudice and effects of ‘Ego’? The answers of all these problems are very easy to tackle in case we know functions of subconscious. Scientific research provides us with a means of addressing such questions and providing answers.

Let’s take the example of depression, from which so many of the people are suffering today. It is just the pilling of negative feelings in your memories or for that matter in subconscious, which keep generating negative emotions, and sensitive people, unintentionally, keep piling up these feelings one over the other; and so, keep suffering from depression. Similarly, there are number of other diseases and problems, which we can tackle our self very easily in case we understand the cause of that particular problem and remove it from our subconscious. Similarly urge for the bad habits like smocking and addictions etc. can be treated by treating the subconscious and using rehab services with these UKAT rehab prices can be great for this.

Human beings have five senses that we use to take in information from the outside world. Aristotle (384 BC – 322 BC) is credited with the traditional classification of the five sense organs: sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing. As far back as the 1760′s, the famous philosopher Immanuel Kant proposed that our knowledge of the outside world depends on our modes of perception. In order to define what is “extrasensory” we need to define what is “sensory”. Each of the 5 senses consists of organs with specialized cellular structures that have receptors for specific stimuli. These cells have links to the nervous system and thus to the brain. Sensing is done at primitive levels in the cells and integrated into sensations in the nervous system.

Beyond the five sense organs, we also have some other organs and Controls like ‘Kinesthesia’ which is the precise awareness of muscle and joint movement that allows us to coordinate our muscles when we walk, talk, and use our hands. It is the sense of kinesthesia that enables us to touch the tip of our nose with our eyes closed or to know which part of the body we should scratch when we itch. Similarly, some people experience a phenomenon called ‘synesthesia’ in which one type of stimulation evokes the sensation of another. For example, the hearing of a sound may result in the sensation of the visualization of a color, or a shape may be sensed as a smell.

Then we represent the world to ourselves using five internal senses. For example, if you close your eyes and try to visualize or imagine the time when you were with your friends or parents few years back; you will immediately get the scene or picture, in front of your eyes. Where it all is stored? It is all in your subconscious and you can view anything out of it anytime.

It is the Law of Sight that when an object is taken into focus of the eyes, the image of that thing persists for 15  Seconds on the screen of the mind and with the act of blinking, it gradually slides into memory and is replaced by some other image. If the sight is focused on an object for more than 15 Seconds, the same image keeps on recurring on the screen of the mind, registering itself in the memory. For instance when something is sighted for a long interval of time without blinking the eyes, the ability to transfix the sight infuses in the mind, putting an end to the mental distractions, but these are shifted from time to time along with the thoughts to the conscious mind, from the unconscious mind as per the thought. No one can deny this fact that sorrow and happiness are directly related with thoughts. Some thoughts are very pleasing and others are very disturbing. Fear, fright, dubiety, jealousy, greed, hatred, malice, showing off, false pride, vanity , love, affection, faith, sacrifice, feelings of grief  and pleasure are all products of our thoughts. We experience feeling of anxiety and depression when having negative thoughts of bad memories, which some people, especially those having sensitive nature, keep piling up those negative feelings>one over the other by attaching their mind to the emotions> resulting in depression etc. Similar is the case of fear, phobias, pleasure and happiness. Grief and joys are associated with imaginations and the imaginations results from the thoughts, which originate from subconscious.

90% of our thoughts are linked to memories; and these memories constantly keep generating thoughts, which in turn create emotions, ultimately affecting our entire behavior? That means, if we can change our memories, liking in earlier life and control our thoughts, our feelings, emotions and thereby behavior towards our own health, our problems, attitude towards our self and others, our social set up, liabilities and attachments, confidence, dealings with others, habits, and urges from inside would entirely change.

When people create anything, they create it first in their Minds by imagining what it is going to look like i.e. the idea for its development have to be first formulated in the mind. There are also certain qualities to these images. For example, think about what you did yesterday. As you think about it in your mind, you might see yourself yesterday doing something, or you might see what you saw through your own eyes yesterday. You might see still images of your activities, or you might remember them like a movie continuously running. Regardless of it, this is one way by which, we can process our experiences from the world.

Once a person is recalling and attached to these memories and thinking with emotions, negative memories makes a chain especially for sensitive personalities and  creates emotions like depression etc. one view memories in a number of ways; mostly it could vary  as per following details:

Visual Auditory Kinesthetic

Study of the brain reveals us that the connection between the brain and body organs is as sophisticated as inside the brain and actually allows us to think with feelings and emotions. What it means is that our bodies are not disconnected from our brains. It is an extended part of the brain.

To fully realize the effects of memories and as how to treat these images, let’s have two exercises:

Exercise 1:

Get in a comfortable position, close your eyes and get a picture in your mind of someone you really enjoy being with. When you get this picture, try to notice that whether it is a bright or dim picture, where it located is, are you associated or dissociated, etc. What are your feelings and emotions at the moment i.e. Are you feeling happy or sad; are you feeling light or heavy, are you feeling like to keep viewing the scene or you just want to leave it? Once you have done this, open your eyes and clear your mind by stretching and looking around the room. Again close your eyes and this time get a picture in your mind of someone you do not enjoy being with. Notice the details as in the picture already mentioned above. Note your feeling and emotions as you are looking on the picture with your internal eye; and I am sure that you can identify and differentiate it in several ways from the picture of someone you enjoy being with as comparison to this picture. Once you have done this, break its state by opening your eyes and looking around

Generally, we tend to have almost similar of the internal representations of people we enjoy being with. The feelings and emotions of the internal representations of people we do not enjoy being with, will also be similar in every case of that type and in some way different from the feelings of people we enjoy being with. This sameness and difference in feelings and emotions allows us to Code our experiences and give meaning to our past and future memories (internal representations). It helps in treating it in a very easy way. For example, if the internal representation of someone you do not enjoy being with is large, and up close (i.e. ‘close to your face’), what do you think as what would happen if you made the picture smaller and pushed it away to a comfortable distance? I suspect you would not necessary end up liking this person, however you may find them not so overbearing.

Exercise 2:

For this exercise, I would like you to close your eyes and think of a time when you were very happy. Once you have this picture, make it very dark, shrink it down to a small picture and push it far away. When you did this, what did you notice about your feelings of happiness? Reduced or disappeared? You have just learned a great way to remove happiness from your life > take all your happy memories and make the pictures very dark, small and far away. Of course, I am not serious; I was just making you feel the difference it makes.

There are some people who tend to discount their happy memories by making them darker, smaller and further away, while making their unpleasant memories big and bright and close, piling up these memories one over the other, thinking that they are being targeted by the people known to them; they even question to themselves that why everyone behaves in that way with them and as result, they go in depression. And, what do you think how do they live their lives? Surely, it has to be in a depressed way. I had a female 25 years old patient who used to come with her mother; her mother told me that she was taking depression drugs for the last 5 years and her hormones had been affected in a very adverse manner. It was despite the fact that her marriage was a love marriage but due to anti depressant drugs which she was taking and by remaining in depression with the feeling that her in- laws were behaving in a very negative manner, her physical health had been affected badly. I treated her with this technique gradually tapering off her anti depressant drugs and she became absolutely alright within a month. So don’t do it yourself in that way; reverse the procedure by recalling and  making images of happy memories as color full, bright, bigger in size, located at a closer distance to you as compared to the previous image and you will feel that your pleasure and emotions have improved.

The above two examples illustrate that how one store his/her memories (past and future) attaching meaning to the memories. We cannot change an event that has already happened, however by adjusting and controlling the thought of the memories and making adjustment in them in a positive manner, we can change and improve our life as we perceive it and respond to it. This is also true for future events. This fact is not very well known that you can easily change the impact of specific thoughts and memories. You can make good memories even better, bigger, brighter and more powerful, so that every time you think of them you get a massive confidence boost and feel wonder full about it. Conversely, you can shrink down crappy memories and push them away, instantly making them weaker; and again, make yourself feel better in the process.

Mostly psychological problems are created by our imagination and are therefore imaginary. The urge for the habits> may it be good or bad, comes from the subconscious. All we need are imaginary solutions by changing negative memories, habits and either eliminating or making them ineffective to charge the body and emotions. By treating the body, as most people do by taking medicine for depression etc, you can treat the body but not mind (subconscious) or for that matter memories, habits stored in the subconscious. Until and unless those memories are treated, negative feelings like depression, anxiety, addictions cannot be treated on permanent basis. Change the memories> their impact and diseases like depression and addictions will automatically be cured.
